The Closures
Spice jar closures are nearly as important as the spice jar itself. With so many customizable possibilities to choose from the perfect pairing is essential to attaining a seamless spice jar performance.

1. The spice lid, a simple spice jar standard, is the first option. This lid has a closed top that only allows product to be dispensed if removed. Spice sifters, natural colored inserts furnished with small holes, are typically paired with liner-less spice lids. This feature provides a barrier against the container orifice, resulting in a sprinkling affect, as the spice jar is shaken over food (as opposed to accidentally pouring a waterfall of seasonings into a mixture without the aid of a sifter).
2. Twist lids are the style of closures seen on bottles and jars. Similar to a spice lid, it can be twisted on and off, but rocks a flatter and wider appearance. These closures are stocked in white and black options (depending on size) and are usually matched with a F217 or PS liner (learn more about these liners in a past post).
3. Sifter lids are the final spice jar closure option. Advanced-looking and functioning, the sifter is the Lamborghini of spice jar lids. Purchasable in red and black varieties, these lids are equipped with two retractable entry doors. One side is open, offering lofty access to the product with a spoon or an undisturbed flow of distribution. The other portal promotes the sifter method of dispersal.
