The unveiling of the updated website has been a joyous occasion littered with several changes. We didn’t just get a facelift (don’t you love the new, sleek look?!), we simplified processes and added a few features too. Let’s take a walk through some of the most profound changes.
Browsing items can be done through the product and image catalogs, the same way they always have. The change here (aside from being able to search for products based on color!) is that our new and improved site offers a third catalog option, categorizing containers based on industry usage. No more clicking the orange arrow button, scrolling through personal care containers when all you want is a glass jar to package your spaghetti sauce. Now all you have to do is select the industry of your choice and voila, the applicable options appear in front of you. The catalogs are located under the “Products” tab on the gray bar near the top of the screen.
Our latest and greatest (new items), extras (overstock items) and graduating containers and closures (closeout items) are available for browsing under the “Products” tab as well.
Our home here on the blog had a bit of work done too. What do you think of the new digs? Each article features a photo and quick description, conducive to browsing (go ahead and click through though, you know you wanna …) and sure to be a good fit for your fast-paced lifestyle. The clean and glossy look of the page highlights the best blog content and features clear access to blog search and archives, our social media outlets ("Like" us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter!) and a direct connection back to the products is only a click away.
Just in case you can’t remember how you got here, the blog is the first link listed under the “Resources” tab. You can also reach this destination by clicking the cute little green page and pencil icon or by clicking on one of the articles featured on the home page.
You know how everyone says they don’t have a favorite child, yet you can tell through their clenched teeth that they really do? That’s kind of how we feel about the customer account feature. We love all of our website features equally, but the customer account is pretty snazzy. Use your login information to access extra goodies like past order information, tracking updates and special pricing listings (for high volume customers). Don’t worry if you don’t have login information yet, you will be prompted to create a username and password when you proceed to the checkout for the first time. Watch our latest video, Did you know?, for a sneak peek into the benefits of logging in.
We love the new website, but who cares what we think? We want your opinion. Do you like the refresh? What about it appeals to you (design – more space, less clutter, colors; functionality – Is it easy to use? Have you been able to navigate the site and find everything you need?)? We want your input; share anything and everything that comes to mind.
Sound off about the new website in the comments!
I’m a writer at heart, who got swept up in an intriguing industry. I learned the ropes of CPS products along with budding packagers through our customer support call center. Then I gained insight into why people love to do business with us while working with clients in Sales Support. Now, I get to encapsulate my daily packaging discoveries in writing and share them with you. Life is good.

I grew up in the packaging industry working for Container & Packaging Supply. I've been a bottle printer, order picker, delivery driver, graphic artist, and warehouse manager, all before I graduated from college! Following graduation I worked as the Art Director of a radio conglomerate in a top 25 market. I came back to what I love.

Like every young boy, I wanted to sell bottles when I grew up. The fulfillment of this life-long dream was met in 2004 when I came to CPS. Aside from the glitz and the glamour that naturally accompanies containers, I have enjoyed many aspects of the business. I have dabbled in warehouse, customer support, sales, marketing, and HR. Basically, I am delightful and dreamy. Oh! I forgot to mention - I have a ton of friends and admirers. Yet, it is in my deep-seeded humility where I really shine.
